The RxTx Steered Amplifier Stage
Because this is a minimalist transceiver project, I constantly look at how certain circuits can perform a double duty -- the old "twofer" approach. My original block diagram had a separate Rx RF Amp Stage. As I began to build the rig, I realized with two relays I could use one 2N2222A amp stage as the RF Amplifier on Receive and as the Transmit Pre-Driver when in the transmit mode. It works and is currently installed in the radio! The four panels below show the location in the block diagram, the actual built hardware, the seteering schematic and a template for the PC Board. Below that is the LT Spice Schematic.
